2025 Vision Board Progress Update
It has been 9 months into 2025 and I wanted to share how much of my vision board has come to fruition! This year my main focus was on homemaking and really prioritizing my wellbeing. We are 3/4 of the way done with 2025 and I would say I have met most of my goals to the best of my ability! I recommend making a yearly vision board as opposed to a general/lifetime long one, with shorter term goals as it makes reaching those goals more realistic. Making a general one is great too, but I find these yearly ones are a fun project to make and gets me excited for all I will accomplish in the upcoming year.
Here is my 2025 Vision Board filled with the goals I wanted to achieve and the main priorities I needed to focus on. Keep reading to see how I’m doing in reaching those goals :)
Prayer & Spirituality
It is hard to make time to read and study spirituality, but its not difficult to take a few moments out from the day to give thanks and show gratitude to God & the Universe. I find being grateful and appreciative of my blessings and problems makes me feel more connected to my world and gives me a clearer purpose. Life can can change for better or worse within a moment so I try to stay present and keep a positive mindset; take it all as it comes and not to over worry because then you suffer twice.
Reading
This year I’ve kept my quota of at least 1 book a month. Listening to books on Audible has helped me achieve this goal as sometimes I am too tired to physically read, so I enjoy listening to books while I cook, clean, work out, walk the dogs, or enjoy hobbies like crocheting and painting.
Self Care
This has been a fun goal and has helped regulate my moods and emotions. I have developed a ritual of eating foods that are healthy and comforting, skin care routine, drinking more water, keeping stress low and finding a good balance to avoid burn out. I find when my cup is full, I am a more pleasant person who is able to fill the cups of others. It ensures my home is moving along, my job is less stressful and all the needs of my home and family are being met. I used to view self care as a luxury and not a necessity, that’s what living in survival mode will do. Once I realized I NEED to prioritize self care as a necessity, it changed the game.
Financial Freedom
Living in America has become quiet expensive during this administration due to all the tariffs on products. While it has been hard to save money, we have been able to make a few tweaks to our expenses. Canceling unused subscriptions, stop ordering delivery foods entirely and making all of our meals from scratch has made our pennies stretch. I recommend this for everyone, as making meals at home is much more cost efficient and healthier, as you know the hands that prepared it and that cleanliness is prioritized. It can be a struggle if you’re not a fan of cooking, but if you learn a few easy recipes it will get easier as your recipe book grows!
Gardening and Canning
I did start a little garden on my porch to try my hand at gardening while apartment living. Sad to say my garden did not make it this season due to the dessert heat, but I am happy I tried it. I did get quite a bit of life from it, but it never produced any harvestable food or herbs. I will not give up, as I have learned some valuable lessons and will use that to my advantage during the next trail of gardening.
Homemaking
As I mentioned, the self care has allowed me to keep my homemaking lifestyle functioning smoothly. There is always limitations when apartment living, such as space for furniture, ground for gardening, etc, but we have been able to make our dwelling a home. Keeping a clean, safe, stable home environment filled with healthy foods, home décor and lots of love is what I am passionate about. Learning life skills now will be beneficial when we get our home so I can take my experience and truly apply it to our future homestead. Its all about being content with where you are and making the most of your life, that’s how you continue to grow and improve your life.
I had so much fun creating the vision board using Canva. It makes it so easy to create this digitally and you can always print it out and post it on your wall or on your fridge, somewhere you can see it daily as a reminder to take those steps to make those goals. I made mine my computer desktop background as that is a place I see daily for several hours of the day!
