What I’ve Been Up to This October

Happy last Monday of October all!

I’ve taken a brief hiatus from content creation the past couple of weeks. I’ve been enjoying the fall weather now that it has finally cooled down and taking time to rest. When I am constantly going I can get burnt out and so the last few weeks have just been slow moving and peaceful.

Today is a new week and I am spending it catching up on things and preparing for the last couple of months of 2024. This next year is going to be eventful with many big changes so we are preparing for all of that. I will share more as time comes, but for now focusing on the next 2 months ahead is more than enough.

I have happily spent the past couple of weeks watching the Harry Potter films and Agatha All Along. We just finished 7 of 8 of Harry Potter and I have been loving it! It’s the perfect fall movie to watch because it gets you in the Halloween & Christmas spirit.

Highly recommend Agatha if you haven’t seen it, I am obsessed. We already started the rewatch of Agatha in order to prepare for the finale this Wednesday. It’s really a phenomenal show; I mean I loved Wanda Vision and this is just as good, dare I say better! Patti Lupone gave a stellar performance last week’s episode, absolutely phenomenal. Kathryn Hahn has pulled audible laughter from me from every single episode, her portrayal of Agatha is amazing and I could go on and on for hours about her and this show. It is the first show from Marvel that has me looking into comic background stories and family trees just to get the best understanding and analyze every detail of this show because it is that good. The episodes are only 20 minutes roughly but everything is intentional and you must pay attention to detail! They are detail heavy in this show, I almost felt like I should be taking notes lol

As I’m writing this its Sunday night. I am watching reality tv in bed, sipping on Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa and working on some projects. The house is cool from keeping the windows open today while sauce simmered on the stove. Nothing I love more than a crisp, relaxing Sunday with the aroma of tomato, basil and garlic filling the air.

I’ve been back on my game with cooking meals, meal planning and grocery budgeting. I have become more conscious of my food intake and want to be sure I am eating the right amount and getting what I need from my food. Not to mention I am trying to keep the grocery bill low because I don’t want to spend more than I have to.

On the menu this week is obviously sauce with meatballs + pasta / polenta, homemade pizza featuring homemade sauce, rapini with pasta & feta, kale & cabbage salad topped with almonds coated in an apple cider Dijon dressing. I was addicted to those salads from chick fil a that I am making them at home now. I’ll be sharing the recipes soon because I can not get enough!

I usually have a couple of meals/snacks I have cravings for, so I will eat that for several days until it is gone or I have satisfied the craving. I find myself to be a creature of habit and same goes for my diet. I’ve read that it’s good actually, to eat the same meals on a consistent schedule because the body knows what to expect and it helps regulate your system.

Well it’s getting late, I’ve got work to do and there’s dramers going on in my show. I also have to be up early for my day job tomorrow, so sweet dreams and stay spooky
