Setting the Vibe for 2025
Hello 2025 :)
I’ve been a little MIA preparing for the upcoming new year, and would you look at that its already here! I have been working diligently on my shop while taking time to enjoy the holiday season. The last couple of years really felt like each holiday would creep up on me and be over before I realized it had even started. Not this year though. I shifted my priorities and managed my time much better this year and am pleased to say I have a whole binder ready to go!
I really wanted to ensure I miss nothing in 2025, so I spent time going through important dates for 2025, prioritizing which ones I actually matter to me and what I plan to do on that day. I reflected on what worked well for me this past year and what I could incorporate more of this next year.
I sat down with my husband and we laid it all out on the table. We identified every goal we have, personal, professional, goals for our home, purchases we plan to make, you name it and we wrote it down on paper. We crunched numbers and gave ourselves a timeline to hit those milestones.
I spent some creative time working on a vision board, collecting pictures to capture the mood for 2025. I saw a few different examples and put together what resonated most with my vision. I used Canva and I’ll probably have many upcoming posts and tutorials on how to use it if you’re interested because let me tell ya, its a game changer! I thought it would be nice to share my 2025 board and I would suggest you make one too! Its nice to have an inspiring visual to look at each day to remind and motivate you to make that life and reality. I have implemented new systems into my life, maybe I should have a 2025 binder flip through to go more in depth, but basically I have created worksheets, trackers and filled my planner with the actions needed to take to reach my goals. I find when you create systems its almost like having an instruction manual on what tasks to get done in order to get the outcome you want.
On my mood board, I made sure to include colors, images and messages that spark inspiration for me. It was a fun digital scrapbook sort of project and helped create a clear idea of what I want in 2025. I really enjoy getting into the graphic design aspect of it with framing, styles and applying different design elements throughout the piece.
This year I’m throwing myself in to the domestic homemaking life. I’ve been slowly establishing a lifestyle to accomplish this the last few years, and this year I am in full throttle. My main focus for 2025 is financial freedom and homemaking, which I believe work hand in hand. I did not grow up in the most domestic home so I did not learn the art of canning, baking, preserving and so forth. I’ve always been naturally inclined to the creative arts as well as organizing, crocheting and cooking, but there are some skills I have yet to learn. This year is dedicated to learning to be as self sufficient as possible by really investing in my home life. By increasing those skills, I can stock up on food and supplies, cutting down the bills and increasing my wellbeing.
I included my main areas of focus at the top, trickled with pictures and notes to keep my focus in a way that visually inspires me. Spirituality and Prayer is a main priority for me this year so that went up towards the top; self care and financial freedom are balanced on each side. Supporting financial freedom with “Full price is the F word” on a little price tag, next to the kitchen garden, motivating me to grow my own fruits and veggies. Some shelving and organizing inspiration, a jar to mark my canning journey, bay leaves symbolizing protection, victory and positive energy. Everything in my piece means something to me and evokes the mood I am going for, cozy & homemade.
I highly recommend you create a mood/vision board if you haven’t already. I used Canva to make my board, give it a try! I find its very intuitive and cross platform, so you can pick up where you left off on any device! Happy crafting!!
