Spring Reads 2026

Here are a few books I’ve reading this spring! Part of my journey is nurturing the parts of my younger self or inner child that missed out on things when I was growing up. For example, as a kid while all my peers were reading Harry Potter or Twilight, I was busy surviving and missed out on those series. As an adult I’ve decided to read those books and catch up on what I missed! There is a mix of childhood books as well as memoirs and self help topics, as memoirs are one of my favorite genres. Here’s what I’ve been listening to and reading lately.

Holy Disruptor — Amy Duggar King

I have only recently watched the Duggar shows within the last 2 years or so. With everything going on in the media about the most recent Duggar scandal, networks have removed all the Duggar content from streaming services so it is now nearly impossible to find their shows. This book gives some great backstory and uncovers truth about the origin of the Duggar family and their hidden secrets.

Sister Wife — Christine Brown Woolley

As a long time Sisterwives fan, I am so excited to dive into this one! I appreciate Christine’s transparency about the religion and her early years. I felt in the show they didn’t really touch on the religious aspect of their lifestyle, keeping it very hush hush to solely focus on the FAMILY and BIG PICTURE of their lifestyle. This book felt like you’re talking with a friend and she’s letting you in to the personal information about her backstory.

New Moon — Stephenie Meyer

This is book number 2 in the Twilight series. I never had much interest in paranormal but for some reason this book has captured my interest. I think its more of the relationship dynamics that I’m interested in but I’m not turned away at the paranormal aspects of it. I guess this series is a love it or hate it kind of thing, I love it lol I think I am team Edward, but I’m only on book 2 so we shall see!

The OCD Workbook: Your Guide to Breaking Free from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder — Bruce M. Hyman

I have OCD and this book, paired with the workbook it comes with, has been beneficial in managing my OCD. Learning so much about myself through this book, finding out a lot of things I do are actually OCD. I would recommend this book to anyone who is struggling with OCD of any kind.
