Spring 2026 Watchlist

Haven’t been watching too much television this spring! I’ve been reading and getting everything in order around in life and around the home to set up for spring. I’ll usually throw on an audio book while I tend to spring cleaning and chores around the house. I enjoy tv when I’m sitting in one spot and relaxing, so I just haven’t been watching much lately! I do try to keep up with the new seasons but I love a good movie as well! Here are a few shows (and a movie!) I have been watching this spring!

Love on the Spectrum

This is such a wholesome and sweet show! It is comical and sometimes hard to watch, seeing these people navigate relationships for the first time for most of them. Its sweet and I’m always rooting for them to find their people and live happily! Very cute show to watch.

Secret Lives of Mormon Wives

This is my jam. I’m going to be starting a rewatch series from season 1 due to all the recent internet drama revolving the cast members. I’ve always had a fascination with the Mormon culture, including fundamentalism and cults, very interesting way of life. If you haven’t seen this show it’s similar to your real housewives of whoever ever except these women are very young, Mormon women primarily from Utah who turn out to be the breadwinners and challenge the church’s traditions.

Their husbands/baby daddies have become a larger part of this story (or at least they are trying to be) and seem to be in high competition with the women. Very bingeable show!

Unexpected

This show is essentially the rebranded teen mom. Some of relationship dynamics are insane and as always I feel so bad for these young girls going through this part of their life and having it televised. I know its what they signed up for but it truly sucks to go through some of your toughest moments in life thus far to have to hear the entire worlds opinion on it.

7 Little Johnstons

This show is a hard watch, one of those love to hate them shows. The entire family has a type of dwarfism called achondroplasia and we follow their story of typical family issues and struggles along with how they adapt to hurdles made from a world that was not meant for their size. It really is an eye opener on how there are many ways to build a more inclusive, accessible world for everyone.

Their family has some personalities that are hard to like, and the main story line is how the mother Amber essentially is manipulating the entire family to turn against one of the adopted sisters Anna.

Castaway

This is an old movie starring Tom Hanks. He plays a character who survives a plane crash and turns up on a deserted island. It’s essentially a quiet movie as he is acting solo for the majority of the film. It’s very evocative as you watch his emotions and struggles being in total isolation with nothing but what he can find on the island. Very emotional movie, although I would’ve preferred a different ending I still enjoyed the story line very much. Long watch, roughly 2 hours long but very well done.
